Non-Collectible Card Games
There are numerous games which fall into the category of non-collectible card games. These are games whose primary game play involves decks of cards but you don't need to buy random boosters or singles to fill out your collection. Big games in this category include the Killer Bunnies series and the Munchkin series. There are additional non-collectible card games that more appropriately fall under the genre of the deck-building game.
Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot
What is Killer Bunnies?
Killer Bunnies is a card game in which you try to collect the "magic carrot" while doing everything you can to prevent your friends from getting it.
The Basics
Killer Bunnies is a simple game to learn, but with over 700 cards in the full set, the game can get very interesting. You must protect your bunnies from hedge trimmers, anti-matter raisins, and other mishaps while collecting carrots. In the full set there are 20 carrots, but only one is the magic carrot. Will your bunny be the main dish at a hillbilly BBQ? Will the mothership come and do experiments on your bunnies? At the end, will the 19 carrots you have win, or will it be the one that got away? There is no way to tell the winner until the very end.
What else do I need to know?
There are quite a few expansions to this game. Each expansion has a different color card back and adds a new depth to the game. There are also special edition cards that are only available at conventions.
